Denver Day of Rock first took over the 16th Street Mall in the heart of the Mile High City in 2004. Organized with the support of the City and County of Denver, the free event’s main focus is to benefit AMP The Cause.
Amp The Cause is a Denver-based non profit organization that raises funds and awareness for organizations that are focused on healthcare and education for children. They currently have over 50 organizations that are supported by the events they host.
Saturday’s benefit included 5 stages, 25 musical acts headlined by the Eli Young Band and plenty of food and drinks thanks to the many vendors that lined the streets. We even got down with Denver’s Mayor Michael Hancock. He’s in our slide show.
A long list of sponsors helped put on the event and we sent photographer Eric Gruneisen to capture all the fun.
