Denver’s free Five Points Jazz Festival takes place the third Saturday of May every year and celebrates the history of Denver’s Five Points neighborhood. Jazz music’s legends such as Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk played the jazz clubs that once occupied some of the historic buildings in the Five Points area.
With an endless number of vendors lining the streets in-between the multiple stages that hosted live music. The festive atmosphere brought a large crowd of music fans down for a day filled with food, music and a celebration of the musical history of one Denver’s neighborhoods which was once know as The Harlem of the West.
